With nearly 30 years of private practice experience, Dr. Mark Lafferty brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. After semi-retiring in 2021, he remained active in health care through consulting work and medical-legal reviews. However, what he missed most was caring for patients and building meaningful relationships with them.

We're thrilled that Dr. Lafferty has decided to come out of retirement and return to patient care with us.

Dr. Lafferty earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and his Bachelor of Arts from Transylvania University, also in Lexington. He began his Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and completed his residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Lafferty is a devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan, so don't be surprised to see him sporting red and black during football season. He also proudly admits to being a chocolate lover. His favorite snack is Oreos, and his favorite dessert is chocolate cake with fudge icing.
