Dr. Brenda Harris Carr earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her internship and residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama.

Prior to joining AAPHC, Dr. Carr served as a Gynecologist with The Southeast Permanente Medical Group in Atlanta, where she consistently achieved patient satisfaction scores above 90%. Her commitment to delivering exceptional patient care aligns perfectly with AAPHC’s mission of providing quality health care to our communities.

Outside of work, Dr. Carr enjoys cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, cooking, reading, sports, and working out. While she admits to having a sweet tooth - favoring chocolate raisins, Heath bars, and Whoppers - she balances it out with healthier snacks like popcorn and veggie straws.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Carr has received numerous honors and awards, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the Public Health and Community Medicine Award, and the General Surgery Department Award.
