Dr. Francis Kwarteng joined Albany Area Primary Health Care when it took over the midwifery practice that Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital had started to assist with the availability of obstetrical services to the residents of southwest Georgia. AAPHC began operating the practice in 2009 and Dr. Kwarteng had been employed by Phoebe for one year prior to this transition. He came to Albany after residency training at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Kwarteng completed his medical degree in his home country of Ghana in 1996. When his schedule permits, he travels to Ghana to spend time with his family who still resides there. Dr. Kwarteng is married and has 4 children.
