Mirian Worthy Women’s Health Center

Albany, GA (Dougherty)

Elois Edge’s journey to midwifery began in 1978 as a labor & delivery registered nurse, then nurse manager. I journeyed from Darton College (ABN) to Georgia Southwestern (BSN) to Case Western University (MSN), and finally to a midwifery destination at Frontier School of Nurse Midwifery and Family Nursing in 1998 (CNM). The employment road has taken her from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital to Adams & Woods, P.C., to Phoebe Midwifery Clinic and now to AAPHC and the Mirian Worthy Women’s Health Center where she serves our female population. Through this midwifery journey Mrs. Edge has delivered approximately 2000 babies. Her husband, Dr. Bill Edge, Sr. (35 years of marriage) and she are blessed with two boys: Bill Edge, Jr. and Joshua Allen Edge. They are further blessed with two grandchildren. Her motto is “love and laughter heals all.”
